BRIEF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as one of the program coordinators for the agency on preparedness activities associated with the Hanford Site and Energy Northwest Nuclear Power Plant.  Responsibilities include developing, conducting and evaluating training and exercise programs for first responders, emergency workers, volunteers and the general public. Completing scope of work requirements for the Hanford Site and Energy Northwest Nuclear Power Plant programs. Maintaining the operations of the Franklin County Emergency Coordination Center.

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:  

Four year/Bachelor's degree with courses relating to emergency management or a related field.  Previous background in planning, teaching or training may be substituted on a year for year basis.  Knowledge of principles and practices of emergency management related to preparedness, planning, training and exercises.  Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft office. Ability to work independently and have flexible work hours.

Possess Washington State driver's license and successfully complete a police background check. Ability to respond any time of the day or night and work some off-hours to accommodate other first responder shifts and training schedules.
